I got over my "Camino Winds" inspired speed wobble. It was solved by asking a small group of other people, smarter people, more experienced and knowledgeable folk to read it and tell me what they thought of the book and using their feedback to guide me in the rewriting. Then I got hold of my mate Denis and asked him to go through it with his habitual laser-like focus. After several more re-writes, he informed me that he didn't really read thrillers but that mine was "alright".
And that was enough really. Granted every time I look at it I want to re-write it again. I mean, who opens a novel with 3 consecutive sentences beginning with the letter 'A'? I still cringe when I encounter bits of hokey dialogue and clumsy plot sequences, but all I can do is hope that the reader will forgive my tyro efforts. At least the cover is cool!

So, say hello to Mr. Black!
